It just comes across like what /v/ did with Viv. Her full name was Vivian James a pun on Video Games but nobody really cares about that shit and just calls her Viv or Vivian. And JDB being 3 words means incorporating it is going to be an extra hurdle for no reason.

Yeah honey is sweet, but when you see a Jellybean you don't think of honey they're totally separate on the sugar-rush spectrum.
Jellybeans are associated with bright colors, smooth shapes hence the name. Looking like jams or jelly colors, in bean shapes.
But when you look for honey themes it's always bees, black orange and yellow. It would come across as a mental disconnect if you had a candy named character look like bees, but maybe if one theme is less dominant than the other it can work.
