Contrary to the phrase "shark attack," basically any instance of a shark biting a human is in fact the shark attempting to ascertain that that turtle-shaped human-on-a-surfboard is in fact a turtle or not. The shark does this by giving it a test bite, and unfortunately for fragile people test bites are not friendly bites. Sharks do not hunt people, and if they know that it's a person they're about to eat they do not bite them. I would rather swim with a sapient, intelligent shark than a regular one.
