Plus I changed my mindset towards the later seasons. I still think they're very badly written, mind you, but I've stopped being needlessly bitter about them because it doesn't change anything and only hurts myself. I have accepted my own headcanons, and always try to enjoy the little nice things here and there (like the cute BG ponies) while watching bad episodes.
It's had a positive effect on me to be less emotional during the anni and focus on having good laughs and a good time instead. The G4 universe before everything went downhill was so precious, and that's the energy I want to have in my heart. The bad seasons are like an alternative universe or fanfiction to me.
