>building>cityThe idea was tossed around that a sufficiently large pone could host at first a siege weapon, then a siege tower, a fortress, and eventually a town and then city on its back. It turned into a short discussion on a Civilization 5 style story with a bigpone being a patron for a civilization and as it grows, so does the monsterhorse, eventually leading to a vicious cycle once someone establishes a town on her. The town counts as the civilization expanding, making pone grow, allowing the town to grow since they have more room, which makes pone grow again, which allows a second town, which makes pone grow further. Meanwhile, pone has to be increasingly careful about the populace still on the ground because those were the first towns/cities that let it grow in the first place, and they're still expanding and developing as well. Communication would become a problem (horses have pretty good hearing, but even so, it has its limits).
Don't think anything happened with that idea. Yet. Looking forward to seeing something on that some day since it would allow for violent and zealous smashing and crashing and all that actiony stuff as the massive pony tries to defend its people, and then once that is done with or there's a lull in the action, it can cuddle up protectively or have some sweeter moments with aiding in construction efforts, attending events with nobility, or flumping down in a field for a nap and waking up surrounded by admirers or artists looking to capture the nicer, calmer aspects of their patron pony.
