Both episodes basically consist of a running conflict between two entities trying to keep a lid on so as not to upset their friend (AJ-Rarity and AJ-Apples) that is just played out in various scenarios for the whole meat of the episodes, while their friend has a plot - in Pinkie's case she can't do anything during the trip, so the episode is even more limited, while in Twilight's case her plot allows her to interact with herself and play off of the others strongly.
Then PAP is treated like a 10/10 because it had a nice song and a feel-good feel while LBYS is treated like junk because it's a sleepover.
I would rate them both 6/10. But I preferred LBYS comfy as fuck thunderstorm-evening atmosphere while they're telling ghost stories and stuff, over just an plain road and river.
