Reading "grief is the price we pay" right now. I'm like one fifth of the fic in and while i really like the premise, it is INSANELY drawn out. You can read five chapters, and literally nothing happens, they can be replaced with a couple of paragraphs. Sometimes this fic is just boring. I'll still continue reading it because i'm already committed and i want to reach the end, but let it be a warning for everyone considering reading it.
Also, while the prose is pretty good and easy to read the author describes things too much. You know the saying "show, not tell"? This is not the fic that "shows".
