Just subtle references would have been infinitely more enjoyable and tasteful. Make her a proper secondary character like the unicorn trio in Amending Fences, but I guess that just wasn't an option.
I won't lie, I get a bit jealous that Minuette got pretty much exactly the characterization I thought fitting for Lyra, even the voice is how I imagined her. Lyra gets cheated a lot in the show. I don't know if I like AKR's idea better, Larson's bit is a really clever mockery of shipping.

Nothing they do is distinct or unique to them, there aren't even references to the old stuff like the saddlebags or hayshakes. The staff just turned them into their own gay ship because I guess they are retarded or something. No personality or charm, they managed to make voiceless background assets seem more soulless than back in s1 when they were just straight recolors, back when they couldn't even keep a consistent voice for one character.
