>>37579811very good observations, I didnt know anything about all the Berrow stuff except that she wrote the G4 books and helped to write the movie
>He's trying to understand old Equestria, but obviously doesn't know everything about it.Yeah, that's probably why everything is connected with strings like those investigative boards you see on tv shows.
>And he likely didn't tell Sunny everything he knew before he disappeared. But he just so happened to catalog everything in a couple notebooks stored away. :)
Probably not but it would be nice. Also, we didn't get a full scope of what Sunny actually knows since there wasnt really a whole lot of time in the movie for her to reveal it. Or, well, there could have been through more clever dialogue, but alas.
I think a big problem this series is going to face is balancing how much they go back to G4 and reference and explain and connect things to make it feel grounded and how much they choose to create and expand on their own new lore for the new generation. Theyve made things pretty difficult on themselves in this part, and if they try to make as much stuff as possible line up, then theyre really be constraining the writers.
But of course that's if they decide to that and the setting isn't just a cheap way to keep old fans on board and they lazily all but ignore it for the series, which I think we should expect more than not.
