>>35954707>Hopes?That it, much like PL, is so derivative and soulless that it decimates the potential of enjoyment even from a "so bad it's entertaining" mentality. The show fades back into relative obscurity, and the brand takes a decade-long break that liberates us all from this hell.
>Fears? That they go full in on the woke-points in an incredibly shortsighted way, making it cool to like from others online again and cool to hate (but be talked about endlessly) on /mlp/. No avoiding the disaster, accepted as a success, /mlp/ becomes as bad as other parts of 4chan, not being able to shut up about MUH TRANNIES and MUH LESBIANS. Even worse, the following of the show makes people rewrite it so G4 was somehow not progressive, the "bad" brony show that is just so unwoke while this G5 show is superior, bolder, and not problematic. 4chan people pretend to love it to be contrarian, which brings actual lovers of it.
Lauren makes one vague Twitter post semi-praising G5 in her interest to shut up autists from all sides and to keep her progressive persona. That screencap is reposted endlessly to fuel the flames in an endless nightmarish circlejerk hell that we see no escape from.
/mlp/ becomes the soulless modern 202X 4chan board instead of the early 2010s culture preserved in amber, and we can never talk about the ponies we actually love again.
>Expectations?Take a wild guess.
