The alicorn looked confused by the way I addressed her. It seemed she was not yet used to being called anything other than her name. Is it possible that she could have just become an alicorn, I thought to myself.
“You don’t have to call me Your Highness, Vivianne,” she said, “My name is Twilight Sparkle. I heard about your new arrival in town. I’m sorry I couldn’t show up at the party, but I was awfully busy.”
The name sounded familiar to me, then I remembered Pinkie sounding a little disappointed because all of her friends hadn’t showed up for whatever reason. She said that I would be able to meet Dashie, Applejack, and Twilight tomorrow. She hadn’t told me that Twilight was royalty though.
“Well come on in I guess, I wasn’t expecting any company though,” I said, trotting past her into my home.
“Thank You, but if you too busy I could come back later,”
“No its fine”
I held the door open for her and then led her upstairs. My door was unlocked from this morning and the mess Pinkie had made was still on the floor, the balloons deflated. I swept the mess away with a sigh and gestured for Twilight to come in.
“You have a nice place here. Nice and quaint, not to flashy yet not too simple,” Twilight said with a sort of awe.
I blushed at the compliment, and pointed to the couch.
“You can sit and get comfortable if you like,” I said almost timidly.
“Oh no I wa-,” she started to say, her sentence cut off by a sudden gasp.
“Wha- what’s wrong?” I said surprised.
She pointed at the kitchen table with a look of barely contained glee. On it was the new chess set that I had bought. I looked over at it with a grin. The stallion running the shop gave me a nice discount after a little talk.
