Shining Armor seems kind of an anomaly. Presumably, Cadance has been trained in royal affairs for years, but what kind of diplomatic training does a royal guard get, even a captain? I mean, he'd have a pretty decent knowledge of decorum just to keep his underlings in line, and probably has a fair working knowledge of important individuals; all part of the job. But the brass tacks seem out of his sphere. Must be a lot of adjustment. Maybe that's why he likes to play coach for the Games.
