Rainbow Dash is known to have a number of rest stops prepared all around Ponyville. After particularly intense bouts of flight training, she doesn't want to have to travel far to recuperate. At least, that's one of her given reasons. What's not immediately clear is that she is not unique amongst pegasi in her habits. It's quite a sight when mid-afternoon rolls around and dozens of ponies seemingly arise from unseen perches almost in sync.

Applejack's done her best to limit the number of winged visitors tempted by the prospect of a free breakfast - often by drafting offenders into working it off for the rest of the day.
