The days may be shorter, but that doesn't trouble Celestia. She's as much a fan of the night as she enjoys raising the sun, even if fatigue keeps her from always appreciating it the WHOLE night long. That was one of the losses in awaiting her sister's freedom from Nightmare Moon; Luna has such a personal touch that's been lost for so long. There's a lot of reason for Celestia to be joyous lately, even amid the latest calamities.
And another wonderful thing about the season - sunrise on an untouched blanket of snow is brilliantly breathtaking!
