I’ve bounced around the idea for this story for some time and it went through a few changes before I settled upon doing it this way. Originally, it involved Twilight wanting to be the big spoon and waiting until Anon was sleeping before moving in for snuggles. The perspective of the story was then meant to shift to Anon in the morning while trying to pry a spooning Twilight off of his head, sort of like this picture except with a larger Twilight.
The Princess Spike episode that aired a few weeks ago motivated me to write out this story (alongside the drop in shitposting this thread has thankfully had). It only moved me because of screen caps of sleeping Twilight, which were unfortunately the only good part of that episode. It’s a shame that the writers can’t seem to write Spike as anything but a dumbass who causes problems. I decided to make Spike the object of Twilight’s intense hugging because the episode bothered me so much. Twilight hugging Anon’s head also didn’t seem particularly comfortable.
It came out this way by complete accident, but the premise of Anon sleeping over due to a storm is quite similar to what happened in “Look Before You Sleep.”
