The big rushes for Rarity are usually either when a large order is needing shipment or when she's commissioned for an event. How far in advance does she normally receive her business? She's not typically one to procrastinate out of habit... unless she finds something more immediately relevant to her interests and time. That's generally family matters or social affairs - she can budget her time, honest!
It's just that, well, the big parties happen with shockingly little notice and direct invitations from important figures surely justify a little more crunch time?
