>>25424313Muffin went back to work at her old bakery in the city, a simple prosthetic where her leg used to be. She felt a balance in her world, and could focus on the finer things in life, like ignoring her chatty unicorn friend. Sipping her tea, she took a short glance at her leg and smiled, letting out a sigh of content.
"And then the doc is like, well, your spells aren't working on your hooves because your, like, magical essence of whatever isn't present in your legs, and I'm like, what the fuck does that shit mean, but I guess my legs always felt disconnected from my SOUL, ya know girl? I mean it sounds like some hippie shit but for real-"
"Hey," Muffin said, putting a hoof to her friends mouth. "You said they felt disconnected?"
The unicorn nodded. Muffin smiled.
"I have a secret. I felt that way too, but they fixed it. Know how?"
The unicorn shook her head. Muffin pulled her stump out of her leg, waving it at her friend. The unicorn stared, her eyes wide, her breath heavy.
"I know a doctor. He'll help you."
The unicorn smiled, took down the information from Muffin, and ran on her four natural legs for the last time, straight to the hospital.
In her friends hospital room, Muffin looked at the five stumps between them, and wondered how many ponies like them were out there, how many souls were wearing a pony a size too big.
