On top of that, I didn't wanted to demand any singular character and know what mare I'd likely get, leave more or less open for the Santa to decide from the selection
Any one of those mares are great, no need to be all of them as one. Figurine or hand made, so yea...sorry
If I was to shorten to 2 mares I like the most it'd be Colgate and/or Derpy, if it helps any, but still it's not a hard stamp, do what our heart takes you to

There’s not really a technical reason why names can’t go out with confirmation emails, and it would be nice to have some doodles and giveaways while we wait for assignment day, but names are always a bit of a balancing act; not everyone loves them, and if they were the only thing going on in thread for a month I don’t know if everyone would have a good time. Was talking with a friend last night who just had a major barrier to their future plans crop up, and it was really upsetting for her, obviously. Sometimes really tough obstacles come up and it’s hard, maybe impossible to see how we will ever get over them. I think it’s perfectly okay to feel that frustration, that sadness, in the moment, but it’s still important to remain resilient. Even really tough times can be overcome. It takes a lot of energy, a lot of planning, a lot of effort, and a lot of help, but whatever is in your way right now, don’t let it crush you, at least not permanently. I believe in you! NO PEEKING ALLOWED FOR KELPIE THE HIPPOGRIFF. I have begun [the thing].
It's still pretty much just a rock and no Spikey Wikey, and unfortunately I'm away over the weekend, but I'm starting to believe this will eventually turn out quite nice given a few dozen more hours of work. I'm still in the early phase of using some big rasps or a saw to establish basic shapes. The soapstone here, being a soapstone, has some flaws I've got to work around, but it has an absolutely lovely green color that will re-emerge after sanding and oiling. It's a slow grind when you lack experience, I've only carved once and that was magnitudes smaller. I'm creating so much powdery sand, I keep spooning it into containers to further fill up this sort of sand-filled specialty cushion I use as a placemat. It's also why I use this cardboard box for now. On second thought, I might do well in bringing this thing along.
