What is a tulpa?
>A tulpa is believed to be an autonomous consciousness which also exists in a self imposed hallucinatory body, which is usually much of your choice. A tulpa is entirely sentient and in control of its opinions, feelings, movements. >It is perceived as completely real, and you don't have to constantly focus on it to keep it around. >What if my tulpa hates me or wants me to die? Tulpae live off the attention of their hosts. Without it, they die. Therefore, tulpae tend to treat their hosts well and love them dearly, provided the hosts do the same. However, they are also still sentient, and thus, treating them badly will cause them to act out.
>Is this self-induced schizophrenia? Are you insane? Well, we're all probably a little bit insane here (it is 4chan after all), but tulpae aren't the same as schizophrenia. The main difference is that schizophrenia is uncontrollable, while tulpae can be controlled and ignored by their hosts.
>Is falling asleep while forcing bad? No. It is only potentially dangerous if you summon your tulpa while dreaming. If you have trouble staying awake during focing sessions, try sitting in a chair or cross-legged on the floor.
>Do I need to talk out loud to my tulpa and look insane? It's a personal preference, but you may also talk to your tulpa in your thoughts (mindvoice), which goes unnoticed.
>Can a tulpa create another tulpa? Yes.

If you feel you make responses for your tulpa or always know what she will say, it's because you know your tulpa well. Like when you know a friend's personality really well and you have an idea what they'll say in reply to something. Your tulpa will use what you know of her personality to think of a response. This is normal early on and will fade with time.
>Am I going to create a servitor? If you're not trying to make a servitor, then you wont. If you're that worried, then you're already way too devoted to make an accidental servitor.

-Always give your tulpa plenty of love and attention.
-Trust your tulpa. Much of what you're aiming to create must be at least partially done by them.
-Be patient and don't rush things. They will progress at their own pace.

This thread is a troll. I'll proceed to explain how:
A male 15 year old will read the thread and wonder what this "tulpa" thing is all about.
Then he will head to
tulpa.info to read more.
At that point, he will be convinced to make his imaginary girlfriend.
He will try for a week or two, months maybe. All the while, he will be posting about it in
tulpa.info He is actually being tricked; nobody actually has a tulpa, and nobody expects him to really make a tulpa. Regardless, he is still encouraged to continue.
At this point, one of three things might happen:
The kid will (most likely) join in on the troll, out of anger for having wasted his time, or maybe because he starts to think tricking people that way is funny.
The kid will (somewhat likely) quietly leave the forums, thinking that he has been trolled. He may or may not recover quickly.
The kid will (least likely) realize he has been trolled the entire time, and leave one or two angry posts which are quickly hidden, deleted, forgotten or drowned out by other posts.
There are, of course, some cases in which the subject in question instantly recognizes the ruse for what it really is. Then comes the decision of going along with it or dismissing it.
Don't take my word for it, just go to the
tulpa.info forums and see if my description is not true.

I tried to tulpa force for the first time today and I imagined a blue orb that was on fire I talked to it and everything and told it my life story and told it about my school.
