Lavish portayals of a utopia or vitrioloic reaction against those ideals of the current established intelligensia is unworkable for convincing the up-and-coming intelligensia.
Driving that wedge, that something just isn't right with the current canonical worldview, is the first step.
Most important would portaying how hollow, how soul-crushing then insane it is from the perspective of someone of this intelligensia. Using their language, their style to deconstruct that world they live in from it's most basic insecurities.
The metropolitan, ironically, are the ones you'd be gearing the art towards. They are the ones who drives the trends upstream from academic political theory, and who you will want on your side (or you being of their sympathies at least).
Be slow with your hand, and don't expect the results of what you create to be of your reactionary standards of bringing back the past. Remember the context of our times and how atomization and materialism effects these in the intelligensia the most, as they are at the forefront of it all.
