Remember, kids who didn't grow up in the 8-bit age, that the circle with the slash through it is 0, number zero, not that weird Norwegian O or anything like that. Silly choice of font, usually they'd just not include 1 and I, 0 and O. Same way car number plates don't, at least in countries I know of.
Back in the good old days, typewriters didn't include 1 and 0, you just used the letters. No, I'm not old enough to have used a typewriter, at least not professionally.
