Justify /pol/'s existence.(A manager/admin's opinion would be nice.)

We've all heard the reasons why /pol/ should get deleted.
-Casually tosses around racist remarks, even though racism is against the rules. While it's ok to be racist, and have an open discussion about racism, users take the liberties too far by just being pointlessly hateful.
-Constantly starting movement and engaging in activism and raids. Even though the website has rules against mobilizing 4chan to causes.
-Infects other boards with their bullshit rhetoric. Turning every conversation into some political BS. Obviously going against the most basic rules of the site, which is to stay on topic, and avoid shitposting and flaming.
-It one of the biggest gateways for newfags. Attracting so much attention from the media means that everyone is clicking through /pol/ to see what fresh shit they're stirring weekly. Seriously, /pol/ gets new articles written about it almost weekly now. That's not even an exaggeration.

I've yet to hear a decent argument against any of the numerous reason. Give me one good reason why /pol/ shouldn't be deleted.

(Reposting, because the previous thread was spammed into oblivion, and deleted while I slept. We had a good discussion going in between the spam, so I hope to hear more opinions.)
