A lot of men are exceptionally unnatractive. I've met better looking men than me who were pretty unsuccesful. You look at their profiles and most of their photos portray them as generic students trying to look like rappers or doing nonsensical shit in the middle of nowhere. You need to catch the attention of the person looking and then show a personality. Not just go through the motions like a lifeless dick.
That's why opening with pick up lines is so stupid. You're letting them KNOW you're as generic and boring as they come.
Tinder doesn't work because they changed their algorithm and business model where it is pay to play now. You can still get one or two matches every month but gone are the days of 10 matches a day. Also the demographic has changed. You don't find women willing to take a chance and they are now a bunch of bored wannabe influencer bitches with a too high opinion of themlves (Never pay for a date).
Use other dating apps. Try harder with your profile and be more direct at least with asking for a date. Hooking up will always be hit or miss. If you yourself look like shit then you need to try working on yourself. Lose the fucking weight, shower, workout, at least try to actually be more interesting.
