if you consider yourself unsuccessful, why do you think that is? is it because you just don't try hard enough, or is there simply something we don't know that successful people know?
for the purpose of argument, let's measure success in monetary value; because these days that's how it is measured and i have no issue with that, since a lot of money and fame is/can equal to good health, relationships, happiness, etc.
is it all about luck? intelligence? appearance? let's face it, most of us here are at least slightly of above average intelligence and look average.
let me give you an example: i don't know how many are you into vidya, but take a look at the top streamers of games like hearthstone/wow/dota/etc. those are average looking people with slightly above average intelligence making thousands per day, millions per year. why are we unable to do that? why are they so successful and we are not? is it because they're lucky? or is there something we don't know? a more specific example is a streamer called raynad, he's an average looking slightly above average intelligence kid that plays a shitty card game that's based on luck once the skill level is capped. it's not poker and it's online, so there are no mechanics of bluffing/any other obscure mechanic people consider 'skill' in card games. he turns his stream on, has 20 fucking million people watching and makes about $20 per minute, something most of us would be happy to acquire in an hour of hard labor
the same concept applies to famous and rich musicians, singers, stars, actors, etc.
