Howdy folks. Hope ya'll are keepin' nice and frosty.
So I'm currently writing the next chapter of 'A Better End,' but I find myself working slower than I would like. I blame the foot pain keepin' me so distracted, heh.
For those wondering, shattered my foot bones bowling last Saturday. Only won the game because of the adrenaline. Unfortunately, that same adrenaline caused me to screw my foot further, as I didn't even feel the real pain until two hours later, and once me and the buds were eating some real bomb bengali food. Had to go to the doc on Sunday, where they told me my foot was basically shattered. Moral of the story kids? If a 15-pound bawling ball falls on your foot and you don't feel much pain, it probably means you broke somethin', heh.
At any rate, I have been very slow to write. Since I started Monday, I have only finished 5K words of this 10K story. Seeing as this is the midway point and could very easily serve as a cut-off if I was making this a two-parter (which I ain't), I'ma post what I've written so far as a preview.
Again, this is not yet fully edited, so expect a few mistakes here and there. It is also liable to change during the edit run.
