Trish is the one who runs ringleader to blame Naser for that, she uses it to help Fang and herself reality and shift the blame for their crap concert (we did fine, it's their fault, they were just there to laugh at us; Naser invited them, he did it on purpose to humiliate us) and it becomes another spike she wedges between Fang and her family
What I like about it is how it's not made a huge deal of, but remains relevant in different ways depending on which ending you go down. In ends 1 and 2 she never lets it go and it contributes to her spiral downward; in end 3 and 4 she pushes past it and learns Naser really only meant the best.
I get that I sound like a film critic huffing his own farts, but I think it's done with a nice amount of subtlety. Any other writer might have made it the main bone of contention between Fang and Naser, which is a lot more shallow
