So, the main concern is obviously cheating/NTR. I will not tell you whether to hate or like either of those, personally I don't. I have seen seemingly good relationships fall apart because of cheating, multiple ones of my sister. That was my partial inspiration for the story, the other being that I've posted an inquiry asking for smut material, and Stella having Anon over for anime night was one of them. Like I said, I knew full well that the story won't be glorified to say the least, but a shitty story usually gets flak for questionable writing and such. Questionable themes are just as valid, but I don't see why it's so overblown then. There are multiple pieces of art, images and fics both, which feature cheating. Hell, when I've originally posted the story nobody really came after me for it, and it was more or less well received for those that like Stella.
Thus, my conclusion is that it's both due to the fact of NTR being a boogieman, and because it's from a well known name. NTR is deserving shit on its own merit, I'm partial for that. I dislike any and all trivilization of romance, if you read the alternate version of the sex scene that Rangto posted, I can tell you that it got cut because I found it focusing on the sex rather than the emotions.
Of course a misused label is deserving to be called out, and once again, it's obviously fine to question the theme and plot, and to dislike the story. But seeing that the discussion threaded into debating just how bad NTR is, and how awful anything and anyone that comes close to it are, I say the story was written in knowledge of this. It doesn't set it up as a wacky/funny thing, or an example to be followed. If a story includes someone being shot, that doesn't automatically mean that it glorifies murder.
