>>40089826a 45 degree angle on the screen is perfectly acceptable if you don't sit like a hunchback or crane your neck like you're using a smartphone.
>>40089833I can't speak for the logner-than-3-years-terms reliability of a screen tablet itself compared to a screenless one, but the only thing that got shitty on the XP-Pen screenie I have was the protector, which lasted about a year before it became too foggy to keep using, but thankfully you can just remove it and the glass beneath is essentially impervious to anything you throw at it short of intentionally damaging it. Or you can buy another one if you're obsessive about it.
That $2k premium is also mostly from Wacom and their market domination, companies like XP-Pen and (to a lesser extent) Huion offer some actually very well priced tablets with screens and very nice feature sets. If you want the "best" you can pay 2500$ for a 22" Cintiq pro in 4k, but unless you have some extremely niche requirements you will almost certainly not notice the difference between an Artist 22e from xpp and a cintiq pro 24.
>>40089890This is one of the weird things with screenless tablets that makes them slightly harder to acclimate to but this is essentially the only difference that really matters. If you came from drawing on paper and pencil, a screen tablet makes more sense, but if you just want to draw or want to pay 40$ and not 400$ you can absolutely acclimate to a screenless one even if you're coming over from traditional.
