>>48775588The example you posted is nicely done! It's neat to see you can do both hatching and shading nicely to create depth. Using multiple techniques like that stands out since most artists use only one, and techniques like hatching and shading have become rarer with digital art. Also good work with her pose, giving her a bit of a hip sway prevents her from feeling too stiff. Speaking of hips, it seems like you draw nice curves and did an especially nice job with her hips her. Another thing you did good work with is the more ornate designs on her knees and head jewelry, it's good that you could make them complex enough to look ornate while not being too complicated and busy. Lastly, you draw a cute blush! It'd be nice to see how expressive you can make characters.
That being said, you mentioned being inconsistent and I think this shows even in this image. As mentioned before there's using both hatching and shading in different places for one thing. For another it seems like you used very different brushes in different places, like whatever is on the back left has visible brushstrokes where elsewhere things are solidly colored with no brushstrokes. There's also very different levels of shadows, the shading on things like the knee ornaments is very dark whereas the shading elsewhere is lighter. Finally there's even different levels of detail in different places, you did a very nice job with her face and her knee ornaments but things like the bottle on the back left is a lot sketchier and her one undetailed toe really stands out since the rest are more detailed.
Overall though it seems like your art is well done. It'd be great to see more of what you can do! Any other examples you'd want to post? Or since you said you're open for requests would you be up for new ones?
