The sorry box in particular was the original canonical punishment device for putting a fluffy on a time-out for bad behavior.
Other than that, there have been plenty of pictures and stories about creative ways to get lessons to stick, often with scares but with positive reinforcement too. There's definitely a lot of untapped potential in productive fluffy training.
