Shopping over an idea from /d/ with my own additions
>A pair of researchers are exploring an undisterbed forest which locals say no one comes back from
>Despite heavy logging activity in the area in the past, this area was apparently missed, making it perfect for a study of pre-settlement north american forests
>Entering the area, the two quickly find signs of a logging company from way back in the day and begin following the trail deep into the forest
>As they go deeper, they notice that the forest is producing growth hormones which might eventually have some effect on the human body
>They begin finding old camps and boxes of artifacts from the logging camp they're following, including photographs which show at first normal tall, buff, and probably well-hung loggers, and then slightly taller, more buff, and occasionally visibly well-hung loggers
>Going deeper into the forest, more abandoned equipment is found, along with more photographs of now unusually tall, extremely muscular, and inescapably hung loggers as they notice that the hormones in the air are becoming more concentrated
>Finally, deep in the forest, the trail ends with a ruined village of bizarrely large houses with disproportionally wide doors and giant tools entirely hidden under the jungle-like forest canopy, along with a final photograph showing a small number of what almost don't look like people anymore, all equipped with artillery and ammunition that almost reaches the ground
>As they turn to leave, they begin wondering if they'll be able to make it up the hills out of the forest with their new proportions
