How come once Disney Channel switched to being a basic cable channel, it had higher ratings than Cartoon Network?

This unironically always pissed me off because I never thought Disney Channel was ever good, even as a kid. Every now and then there was a good show like Kim Possible or Phineas and Ferb, but overall, most of the good Disney shows weren't even made for Disney Channel, but rather Disney Afternoon or Saturday mornings via ABC

This, and it's also why Nick dominated the ratings because of shit like iCarly. Cartoon Network never really had anything that could be considered a "girl's show" first and foremost. And even then, stuff like Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Juniper Lee, and Totally Spies each had some edge factor that boys could get into.

Hamtaro seemed like a girls show and I don't recall it having much edge to it. I recall Cartoon Network airing that one, surprisingly during Toonami for a time as well, even though it wasn't an action show

This is the most anti comic book batman ever. Not that its a bad thing.
This emo Bruce Wayne with poor social skills is nothing like the comic books. Also its grounded in reality, mind you in 1939 Batman was already fighting vampires and Dracula. This grounded aproach is anticomic book in nature. You will never see this batman fighting monsters, dracula, gods, ghosts, demons, aliens. Why? Because its not comic book accurate.
You are probably one of those retards that read every 80s must read Batman list and think those cherry picked examples are how the character operates. Batman since he joined the justice league is a superhero first, detective second. The little amount of famous grounded stories like one year or the long halloween doesnt mean the character is only that.
ITS NOT COMIC BOOK ACCURATE, ITS THE LEAST BATMAN COMIC BOOK ACCURATE EVER SINCE THE REALISTIC APROACH FORBIDS THIS BATMAN FROM SUPERHERO DEVELOPMENT. Also the interpretation of Bruce Wayne is clearly an original take.

Something I really enjoyed were the times they'd have scenes focusing on the mundane aspects of working at the park. Something about it was the real kind of comfy, boring maybe sure, but the actual comfy that isn't "3 bears try becoming memes".

Me. I mostly leave it on as background noise while I'm doing other things. It beats those Roku/Pluto channels because it's not just the same shows spammed over and over, MeTVT actually has good variety. I don't think they ever play the same show more than twice in a row unless it's a holiday event marathon.
