Kaine can stay but Ben needs to be permanently killed off. There is nothing unique about Ben other than the fact that he is basically Peter Parker but a clone. Kaine at least have his own personality unlike Ben which is a literal copy & paste of Peter's personality.

I never really saw this as a problem
Most people are told to make their scripts into comics if they can't get it made into a movie or show on the first time through
This is so the comic can build up an audience and be a proof of concept to studios that people do want to see it in motion
Plus the comic can help iron out any details that were over looked the first time around and be able to see what works and what doesn't work in the visual medium
That's how the pipeline works

Super senpaitachi only work for certain characters and it's mostly DC characters.

For Marvel characters I guess it does with Cap, but Spider-Man shouldn't have any and I'm saying this as someone that likes Kaine and Agent Venom.
