>price-gouging middlemenI got used games for $20 that would've been $50-$70 new. How am I being gouged?
They provide a reliable sales venue for used games that would otherwise be left up to individual meetups with sketchy people on Craigslist.
Unless you are a publisher who wishes every sale was a new sale, there's nothing to be upset about with a second hand market.
>QA isn't in their market That's not what QA is. This is ad copy and packaging. Totally different department.
>It looks like crap because they don't actually produce anything. That's not an excuse. They have a corporate budget for some kind of art, they just picked lazy scribbles.
They could seriously have paid some 18 year old on Deviantart to make a better cover. Been real corporate scumbags about it. Only gave them $1000, which seems like a lot at that age, but isn't when you consider its going to be printed millions of times, for years. Too bad, signed a contract.
But they didn't even do that.
I'm not here to suck Gamestop (or any other company) dick, but your grievance seems poorly founded.
