Rabbit Ears is probably on the top 5 of all episodes of animated sitcoms of the last decade but at same time is not particularly funny, is just a good twilight zone esk episode that plays itself straight for the most part outside Roger being a baby that last a total of 1:30 of episode time.
The thing is, is it good because is so different from everything we are used from the series that the change of pace makes it seem better what is or is legitimate good? If we got a entire season of things like this from the series, pretty much the same shift a show like Morel Orel got it would be better received or people would reject it? I'm wondering if normies matured enough were we can have animated dramas now or if a shift from more serious or less so focused on only being funny could be the injection of originality we need to revive some of those shows that had fallen in quality. I mean, I'm not sure if Family guy could pull it off but I would be interested in seeing it they try.
