Why do people hate the idea of toy shows? I never saw what was so incredibly wrong about a toy based show. Kids like it, kids like the merch, it makes memories for them, what's the issue?

If anything it's not that bad of a concept for there to be the occasional merch driven series that is not creator driven. since that makes for a lot of handy early careers and a good stepping stone for fresh out of school animators to get to know things like the production pipeline and spend a year on a major series that a lot of employers have heard of before. And can then step into the creator driven field and make their passion projects now they have the knowhow, connections and experience

I've not finished reading this, but this is very fun
He certainly "destroys" the universe

Is it just a cute retelling story or is this all canon now to the 616 or a new cosmic ghost rider influenced universe?

It's a fucking story, not a theme park ride. I swear to God, whenever I hear these terms it feels like cult hypnosis.

What made Doug so successful? It's regarded as one of the worst cartoons of the 90s, but it was a huge hit when it aired and even had a theatrical movie.
