What caused this?

It's weird how Kyle Rayner's been sidelined. He used to be a key fixture of DC, and now he's basically nonexistent.

Dick has had roughly 380 solo issues, including Dickbats and Grayson, since 1995.

Yet Blockbuster is his only major recurring villain, and he's a shitty Kingpin knockoff. Everybody else dies, is never used again, gets stolen by Batman or another batfamily member, or jobs severely when used in another book.

Is there any established character with a long running solo that can rival Dick's shitty rogue gallery?
How would you fix their rogue galleries?

This isn't a Barryfag vs Wallyfag thread. I'm not even saying everyone who likes Wally and his comics and wanted him back are spergs. I'm sure there's plenty of normal Wallyfags about and I'm not talking about them.

I'm just wondering why so many sperglords are enraptured with Wally West, moreso than any character besides maybe Batman (due to sheer popularity more than anything). Is it really just the power level bullshit? They still talk about all his great comics and shit, but treat it as this holy relic of comics writing, so it's not JUST the stupid Speed Force power levels. There are plenty of other characters who are similarly comic-y bullshit around, your Silver Surfers and the like.

What specifically about Wally attracts these whiny manchildren? Why do they hiss and squeal at any mention that someone might not like Wally or might like other characters more (usually Barry but just in general)? Waid and Johns' runs aren't some tour de force of capeshit and I don't see why it's so fervently defended, far more than the character's sales or overall popularity has ever justified.
