The Jurian Empire from Tenchi Muyou appears in the last sci-fi comic/cartoon you've watched. How do they influence the world?

How come some people tend to forget how popular Angry Beavers was? I look at old ratings charts and while Rugrats and Hey Arnold! were more popular, Angry Beavers was still one of Nick's most popular shows for a while. There was a time when it, Doug, Rugrats, and Hey Arnold! were the best performing Nicktoons with young kids. I know a lot of people still remember Angry Beavers, but it feels like people sometimes forget about it's popularity, while others like Rugrats and even Hey Arnold! people remember their popularity more. Why is that?

/co/ Artist Thread

No.143423299 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
There was a thread earlier today of anons talking about /co/ artfags and what they've been up to:
https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/143416516/

Thread got deleted 'cause of suggestive thumbnail and too much focus on degeneracy I'm assuming, but honestly I was enjoying seeing anons discussing what /co/ artists they like, and some art anons themselves dropping in to give updates and chat about stuff.

Was discovering a lot of new /co/ artists I haven't heard of before and wanted it to go on longer. So, how about a general /co/ art thread maybe? Not for requests/deliveries, but just for both artfags and non-artfags to post /co/ art they've made or got/found in threads. Don't care about skill level or quality, art and artfags of all kinds are cool and appreciated.

Amazing Spider-Man Free Comic Book Day and Issue 50 Leaks

No.143420801 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
https://bleedingcool.com/comics/free-comic-book-days-amazing-spider-man-reinvents-chuck-e-cheese/

It's uh, it's not looking good. For example.

>6160 Spider-Man: Dresses up to take his wife to a fancy dinner date to have a tense chat with his latest friendemy

>616 Spider-Man: Takes his wife to a date at fucking Chuck E. Cheese.

I'd almost consider this a dig against Hickman's Ultimate Issue 4, except the Free Comic Book Day issue leaked long before the FCBD issue did. So maybe Ultimate Issue 4 was a dig against this instead.

What I will say is that I feel vindicated regarding prior arguments that the lawyer bitch Michelle (not to be confused with the previous lawyer bitch Peter dated named Michelle) wasn't the one on the date with him. It's instead the less bitchy but still bland Shay, who is a nurse at Ravencroft.

What the hell is the point of Green Arrow? Really, he's just such a lame character; in a world with all kinds of supernatural, alien, and fantasy shit, I'm supposed to be impressed by a regular fucking archer?

Batman doesn't have superpowers but at least he's interesting and creative in his fighting style and use of gadgets. Shooting arrows and doing acrobatics does not equal impressive. Especially when guns exist and have so many advantages over arrows even if you're not an expert marksman.

The fact that they've tried to meme this character into relevance for decades and still can't make him cool or stand out in any meaningful way says it all.

Why is /co/ so obsessed with the idea that female protagonist=girls show?

Shit like Amphibia and The Powerpuff Girls actually have significantly more stereotypically "boyish" content than stereotypically "girly" content.

Scrappy Doo was hated not for his catchphrase or design or anything.
He was hated because he replaced Fred, Daphne, and Velma, and because the stories changed into strange shorts with Shaggy and Scooby meeting real monsters.
What fans REALLY resented was that the show lost the dynamic that fans actually liked.

It's peak unintentional comedy that the Velma show would use him as its ultimate villain while again losing the dynamic that fans actually liked. Congrats, you repeated history.
