I don't understand how this awful shit got such high critical acclaim to be constantly put in the same tier with the works of the genre that are actually good/great.
It tries to be "mature" (key word is tries, it sure tries really hard), but comes off as extremely juvenile and corny instead.
I don't think I've experiences so much second-hand embarrassment from a comic book since Crossed and I'm 50% confident Crossed's edge is tongue-in-cheek at least. This just feels obnoxiously self-indulgent in a "it's not your daddy's superhero comic" way with no actual good writing to back that up.
All I know is that I don't want to hear "b-but Bendis used to be good in the 90s/2000s" ever again.

What is about Inspector Gadget that just feels like the holy fusion of american cartoons and anime?
I don’t know hoe to describe it, there’s just something about it, maybe is the lack of gross out and the cool villain and the more anime-esque tropes of Gadget like announcing his moves and such and the art style, I don’t know how to describe it either, doesn’t really feel like either anime or american cartoon like
