I showed my kids an episode of 1987 TMNT and they fucking loved it so we've been making our way through the series. Generally the show is pretty funny and has great voice acting but once you get past the first season the plots become a lot of stock cartoon bullshit and the animation takes a nosedive
However tonight they watched a season 3 episode Turtles on Trial and this is far and away the best animated episode of the show I think I've ever seen. Everything just has so much more detail and flourish over almost any episode in the series. The plot is pretty standard "media creep tries to get the public to turn on our heroes" but it just looks so damn good, it's TMS kino.
