“Huh. Is it any good?” You ask with genuine interest.
“Well, Dad really likes it. Naruto’s even named after the hero of the tale. It didn’t sell very well, though. He never wrote another one.” Nori says, playing with her messy hair.
Probably wasn’t very good, then. You consider yourself pretty well read for a lady your age- and you had no idea this book even existed. Though, you do suspect Danzo and Father somewhat filtered your reading material.
“Well, we’ll keep it in mind, then. Now, usually there’s a written portion, a survival portion, and a tourney, right?” You ask.
“Usually. Though only the tourney part is traditional. The Fourth has more or less used the exam styles the Third used, changing very little.” Hinata says, flipping through the novel Nori brought with her.
“Well, we need to break this down, then. Assuming we make it to the tournament, our opponents will be no joke-” You start, before Nori interrupts.
“When we reach the tournament, it’s every girl for herself! Not that I don’t believe in you two- but we might just face each other, like my brother’s team did. I’m not gonna hold back, you know?” She says with a wide grin.
Right. You’ll need to add these two to the list of potential opponents, for now. Both of them are skilled, as you know, with the potential to be stronger in the coming weeks. But…
“For now, let’s focus on getting that far, ok Nori?” you say, not particularly amused by her outburst.
“Right, right, princess.” She says, sitting back down.
