You blast past your sister's clone that you were battling with your Body Flicker, and grab your sister by the waist, throwing her bodily into the clone, and popping it. As she starts to stand, you kick her in the stomach, stopping her from rising, and allowing Jimmaru to hold her hands behind her back. You walk up to your sister, and even though you can still hear Hōōmaru and Shirou battling in the rafters, you start to interrogate her. "Why is an ANBU robbing this store?" you ask her, not trying to reveal your relationship yet. "I told you!" she shouts, "I didn't have time to tell anyone, this was too sensitive." She glances around, and you notice that Hakurin is beginning to stir. You can imagine she's biting her lower lip, she always did that when cornered, "I've been following artifact since I left the village this week, I have to get it to the Hokage, or the Department of Research." You ask her what exactly the artifact is, and she makes you lean in to whisper, "It's sap, from the Shinju," you can barely believe it, and tell her as much, "believe me Kuro, please." She begs you, as sensei lands next to you, having defeated the clone she was battling. She looks between the two of you, "I can show you, they smuggled it in, it's completely true!" By now, your team has your sister surrounded, and you're sure that she doesn't think she can take all of you right now. >A) Take her up on her offer, break into the store and let her show you the alleged sap >B) Knock her out, and take her to ANBU headquarters >C) Knock her out, and take her to the Hokage >D) Ask her what it looks like, enter the store on your own and find it >E) Defer the decision to Hōōmaru-sensei >F) Something else

>>48793839 >>48793679 You look to your sensei for the decision. She is your sensei, outranks you, and is the ninja-in-charge of the mission. "This is certainly a confusing situation..." she says, brow furrowed, seemingly deep in thought. "I have to call someone, I know it's late at night, and I would normally call the Jounin Commander," she sighs, taking her personal phone from one of her pockets, "but because this involves the ANBU, and it is such an ungodly hour, I have to call the Hokage." At that bombshell, Hōōmaru-sensei walks off to make the call in private.
Once Hōōmaru is gone, Shirou begins to freak out, begging her not to do this and let her complete her mission. A light bump on the head from Jimmaru shuts her up, though her glaring at him speaks volumes. Hōōmaru-sensei comes back from her phone call, and walks up to the four of you. "He said we should let her show us the artifact, and take it to his office immediately." She sighs, and tells Jimmaru and Hakurin to take your sister by the arms, she'll watch Shirou's back, and you can take point.
You lead your team and captive sister through the broken window on the door, and your sister directs you to a large crate in the storeroom. Hōōmaru-sensei lends you her tanto, and you pry open the crate, finding it stuffed full of small, squishy white things. Digging through them you feel your energy draining, and Shirou says that you should collect some of those to bring back to the Hokage as well. Finally, about halfway into the crate, you find a heavy metal box, with a number of locks. Shirou tells you that this is what the artifact is contained in, and Hōōmaru-sensei tells the three of you that you need to help her escort Shirou and the box to the Hokage's office.
Travelling to the Hokage's tower is uneventful, being so late at night. Hōōmaru-sensei takes your sister and the box into the Hokage's Office itself, leaving your team in the lobby.

After reading the note, you pick up the box, and after bringing it into your room, tear off the wrapping paper and open it. Inside is a statuette, and another piece of paper, reading "Your shunshin reminded me of the one you were missing, couldn't fit this onto the tag- Shirou." The figurine is reminiscent of ones you collected as a kid, but is larger and more expensive. You put the figure among your collection on the top shelf of your closet, and find an envelope at the bottom of the box. It's full of Ryo. No, it's bulging with Ryo. It's labeled as being half of the payment for an S-rank mission, or two-hundred twenty-five thousand Ryo. After this display of your taijutsu prowess, your teammate hops back to her feet and gets into the Eight Trigrams fighting stance. You defeated a member of the ANBU Black Ops earlier this week! You've picked up cooking in less than a week! You're feeling pretty good about yourself, and this masturbatory line of thought follows you all the way to the outskirts of the training fields, and you head along the paths that skirt the sides of the smaller fields and lead to the larger ones when you feel a pressure in your head. Then you hear it's voice.
"Haha!" this feminine voice in your head begins, "I've got you again, Shikasho, you just can't compete wi-" You've stopped, whether or not you did so under your own volition remains to be seen. "Uhh, who's head is this?"

"Not the head you're looking for, obviously." You answer your visitor in the most smug tone possible, channeling sensei and that stupid resting cat face she puts on. You can almost hear the voice cross her arms, as you're lead off to the right, towards a clearing in one of the smaller fields.
In the clearing, there's an older ninja, you guess a jounin, sitting on a tree stump, gnawing on the end of a cigar; and three of your classmates, the always taciturn and plump Choga Akimichi, stuffing his face unsurprisingly; Shikasho Nara, napping against a tree to your left; and Inoko Yamanaka, one of the more... exclusive girls in your class, who's collapsed in the middle of the clearing. Now it all makes sense....
Shikasho sits up to your left, and greets you with a, "Yo, Kuro, long time no see," then he frowns, "unless you're Inoko, in which case, work on your aim." You feel the pressure leave your skull and the girl in the middle of the clearing sits up.
"What the hell Shikasho!? You made me think I was in your head the whole time, you dirty liar!" Inoko addresses her teammate.

>>48801799 You decide that, with your newfound pocket money, you should go shopping for some more ninja tools. You haven't lost any of the kunai or shuriken you used so far, so you decide to buy a medium-sized blank summoning scroll and ink, thinking that those will certainly come in handy later. Fuinjutsu is an unappreciated art, after all. While passing through the trinket aisle in the ninja tools store you chose to patronize, you think to yourself that maybe your team could get matching charms or something, like InoShikaCho's matching earrings. Though you don't really want earrings.
You arrive home hauling your scroll and ink pot later that night, and decide that if you've had such a good day, maybe the world is having one too. When you turn on the news, you see just how wrong you are; the Shinobi World Congress has elected their leader, the incredibly controversial and jingoistic leader of Ishikagure. Maybe it's time for bed.
When you wake up the next morning, you see a message from your sensei, telling you and your teammates to meet her by the village gate.

When you suggest the team charms she heartily agrees, and is still talking at you about it even when Hakurin shows up. She then pitches the idea to the less-enthusiastic Hyuga, who halfheartedly agrees. When Jimmaru shows up, your sensei eagerly announces that it's time for your first mission! For real this time!
