Okay faggots, time to learn you some education.
A quest is a game where one person is in charge and everyone else is voting on what the point of view/main character does. In a quest, I say "You are GUY JACKSON, and your ship, INTREPID, is self destructing above Jupiter. What do you do?" And then after you tell me, I tell you the results and you tell me what you're doing further. Sometimes this is very involved and has character sheets and a well-defined ruleset, other times it's closer to free form. Either way, you're never getting this experience again because we're moving forward with the game and even if I reran it, votes could be different or I might change the exact circumstances.
In a CYOA, the entire game is using a pointbuy system to make a character and/or scenario, and that's it. If you want to imagine how it might play out, that's on your imagination, since the single .jpg certainly isn't going into any more detail. Sometimes people want to discuss different possibilities, sometimes it's autistically detailed and comes on a PDF.
