Half Eldar make even less sense than a hypothetical half goat, because unlike goats and humans, who share an evolutionary history, Eldar as lifeforms are not even from Earth and have no shared evolutionary roots with humanity in the setting of 40k. At best humans are a result of the overall lifeseeding process the Old ones did to the galaxy, whereas Eldar are a direct creation of the Old ones that existed over 60 million years ago, before even primates let alone humans had evolved on Earth.
And sure, you might argue that trying to tie any sort of biological realism to 40k is silly, the setting is still at least on the face of it, claiming to be a science fiction on some level, where the various races in the setting operate at least when not under the influence of the warp, trough scientific principles, including biology.
Thus the notion that two lifeforms, that have zero biological ties to one another, and have only superficial physical resemblance to each other, could reproduce viably trough intercourse, is fucking retarded. This for me is the biggest reason I hate the notion of half eldar, it fucking makes no god damn sense in the setting, there is no lore that can justify their existence. At best you could argue that they could emerge trough some fucked up genetic experiments and engineering, but not trough natural reproduction.
