Binary refers to a system, not a value within a system.
A digital signal is binary, it does not contain binary elements, and cannot contain non-binary elements.
An analog signal is non-binary, a given analog signal value is not non-binary.
A binary star system contains two stars, a non-binary star system contains any number except two stars.
There cannot be a non-binary star.
Binary digits are a way of counting, bits, ones and zeroes. One is not a binary, zero is not a binary.
And three is not non-binary.
And finally, with a binary gender system, all expressions of gender are interpreted as binaries, man or woman, it's a way of classifying things (regardless of whether you like the category you are categorized as under this system)
And with a non-binary gender system (there are many competing, some sane, some increasingly insane ones), you have a different number than two genders. Gender abolitionists have one classification, a singular system, regardless of your qualities you fall into the same infinite category. You have systems that add 70 or so genders, and different criteria for classification.
But in no system, ever, can an element be binary or non-binary, it is conceptually, fundamentally, invalid.
Homosexuals just have an unusual sexual attraction.
