>>40402514>Howver, why such ridiclous hostility? If you're interested in a genuine, honest answer, it's simple. It's autism. It's one thing to be apathetic towards something, which is reasonable if it's not to your liking or tastes. It's another thing to actively hate something. The truth is, EQG is mostly mediocre, and nothing to write home about. But it's also not something worth losing your mind over. So the people who are losing their mind over it are simply autistic and that's that, really. See, the real issue with EQG is nearly every criticism you can apply to EQG you can also equally apply it to FiM, too. Not every criticism, but most. However, most people aren't critiquing it from a craftsmanship point of view. They're not honestly critiquing the writing or tone or morals or character interactions or anything. Because again, many of the critiques you can levy towards EQG also apply to FiM.
Not that I'm expecting the following to be heeded, but for the record I think the first couple seasons of FiM are better than anything EQG offers. However, I think that EQG has better character interactions in the later entries than FiM. It actually feels like a group of friends hanging out, which is something I think FiM lacks most of the time. On average, FiM character interactions feel a bit more rigid and less casual. FiM, of course, has a far more interesting world to explore, and I think that's why most people don't like EQG (which is totally fair I might add).
