Did a bit of research on Gigantism, and it is really life threatening, with all recorded cases dying somewhere in their young adulthood. The inability of the skeleton to keep up with growth and hearth failure from the increased stress of keeping a too large body oxygenated are the main causes of death in gigantism.
I resorted to use Lisa as a deus ex machina, since she's handy like that, and have her intervene. Such as reinforcing her joints with metal and replacing her heart with a blood pump. Both are operations that already exist.
It doesn't affect the "present time" Darna, so I get to switch over from both designs by doing timeskips whenever I feel like it.
