We all probably already misheard song lyrics at any moment in our life, but have you ever misheard a lyric and after realizing the original words, do you still prefer to sing along the wrong words?
I really like this music by N'sync
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saxnXiBKEaYThe verses which confuses me are
"'Cause if you were my girlfriend
I'd be your shining star"
I always listen it as
"'Cause if you were my girlfriend
I'd be your Chinese army".
I mean, the original verse is so plain, boring, almost cliche, while "I'd be your Chinese army" sounds very poetic to me.
If you ever think for a second, how big the Chinese army is? Over a Million soldiers, the biggest military force in the world if you take in consideration only the active personnel numbers.
The guy is basically saying he's is willing to support her in any possible way like he's able to perform like 1 million soldiers. Honestly, if I were a girl and for a second ay guy whispered it in my ear, I would moist my pants.
