How I became a patrician.
0-12: Radio music. Bought a Blue Oyster Cult album on the recommendation of a girl I was crushing on and decided I hated classic rock.
13-15: Alt-rock, pop-punk.
16: Picked up the violin after hearing Super Furry Animals' Love Kraft. A German foreign exchange student introduces me to dark cabaret.
17: From dark cabaret I transition towards balkan/slavic folk, which led me into dark ambient. Develop an interest classical music and I quickly fell into the atonal camp. Began exploring spectralism and branched out into avant-garde ambient leading to dark ambient, before moving into exotica.
18: Lots of DnB for a few months before moving away from electronic music Explored older psychedelic music and prog-folk.. Fell hard for post-Piazzolla tango.
19: Set aside my violin to become a cellist. Simultaneously explore neo-psychedelia, psych-folk and trip hop eventually branching into hip hop, post-hop, alt-rap, and beat poetry. Really delved into shibuya-kei and ye-ye before falling heavily into jazz, especially free jazz. Also fleshed out my collections of orchestral post-rock, chamber/baroque pop, and Kraut-rock.
20: Start to learn the piano in addition to the cello. Growing interest in tango and bossa nova while exploring orchestral and impressionist/spectralist/romanticist composition. Still very much into dark cabaret and chamber pop. My taste in Jazz is has moved into fusion genres (especially Latin fusion). Currently giving synthpop a go, as well as obsessing over anything with balkan/slavic roots.

I know oceangrunge started as a meme, but I've just been listening to this Poseidon in Chains album and it actually sounds kinda cool.

There's metal, grunge and shoegaze, post-rock influences in there and it uses real instruments like any other rock genre.

I can't see why oceangrunge can't become a serious thing like vaporwave did, which also started out as a joke. I for one enjoy the sound of harsh droney guitars and pounding drums with the ocean ambience. This album makes oceangrunge legit to me.

Is it morally wrong to be with a girl three years younger than me? I'm 18 in senior year of HS and she's 15. This is technically illegal at this point, right? I can't do that anymore, right?

Music for this feel? Listening to Whitehouse rn.

Anyone listen to BROCKHAMPTON?
This came up in my reccs for recent releases on Spotify. Never heard of these dudes and haven't seen them here.
I'm a few tracks into this and it's not bad.
