Doubling up instruments tends to give a far more beautiful sound than amplifying them

So i read up on Cathar crusade where basically 200k people where slaugthered by the command of the Pope cause they were heretics. So my question is- how is that any different from nutty islamists killing infidels because they dont agree with them or turks killing armenians or serbs killing bosniaks because they dont agree with them or basically any one of thousands of examples of some stronger state genociding weaker state just because they dont agree with them or are wrong ethnicity/ religion. I thought you were supposed to as a catholic love them and try to convert them or pray for them. This just sounds like the might is right idea which i dont think Jesus teached.
