Second of all — the rest of Black Flag were ugly as sin and just complete antisocial freaks; Henry was at least kind of ripped and fully committed to the “tortured punk poet” bit.
Yeah. It’s not much of a stretch to believe he got the pick of the litter in those days (and I do mean LITTER).
Gross that Flag went that route though in 1985. I guess they were doing the whole “fake/ironic” metal thing but the band that put out DAMAGED were the furthest thing from stereotypical rockstar pussyhounds. And the music was all the better for it.
